I am here to help you take care of your pet in your home and give you peace-of-mind.
My name is Tiffany and I grew up an animal lover with lots of furry family in my home. I wanted to be a veterinarian when I grew up. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Drake University then looked at the next stage of my life--vet school. I read that veterinary technicians were animal nurses and thought that would be a great dipping my toe-in-the water step before the enormous expense of vet school. Because of my passion for learning and my "do it by the book" personality, I chose to go to school and earn my Associate degree in Applied Sciences (in veterinary technology). Then I studied to pass my national and state boards to become a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). Anyone can become a veterinary technician through on the job training, but I didn't know that at the time! As a registered veterinary technician, I must attend lectures to keep up-to-date on the latest research and newest care techniques otherwise I lose my license.
I worked at a premier referral veterinary clinic for four years. I then worked at an animal emergency and surgical hospital for three years. Throughout my experience, I would teach clients about their pets newly diagnosed complex medical condition and the nursing care that went along with the complex medical condition. Understandingly, the clients were overwhelmed by what they had to do at home. They wanted to do what was best for their beloved pet: nursing care, administer medication, give subcutaneous fluids, etc. They would ask if anyone could come to their home to help them or to care for their pet while they were away? The answer was “no.” That never felt right to me.
My solution to this problem was to create my own business to travel to pet owners' homes to provide care, education, and peace-of-mind. I can't wait to help you and your pet too!
